Perturbation solution to unsteady flow in a porous channel with expanding or contracting walls in the presence of a transverse magnetic field

An incompressible flow in a porous channel with expanding or contacting walls in the presence of a transverse magnetic field is considered. Using similarity transformations, the governing equations are reduced to the nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The exact similar solutions for the different cases of the expansion ratio and the Hartmann number are obtained with a singular perturbation method, and the associated behavior is discussed in detail.

研究无磁化、无碰撞、各向同性非相对论等离子体中非广延分布情况下横振荡色散关系。通过理论推导得到了与非广延参数q有关的色散方程,从该色散方程出发得到了高频横振荡色散关系解析解。为了得到完整的色散关系,对色散方程进行了数值计算,数值结果在高频段与解析结果完全吻合     

斜爆轰的胞格结构及横波传播

针对30楔角的驻定斜爆轰特性,选择在临界爆轰马赫数附近6.8、7.0与7.5等3种不同马赫数 来流状态进行数值分析。在马赫数为6.8、7.0状态下,在斜激波(obliqueshockwave,OSW)、斜爆轰波(obliquedetonationwave, ODW)与爆燃波交汇处形成的三波点后形成一道激波,在楔面上反射,并透过接触间 断面与爆轰波阵面产生的横波相互作用,使得下游流场发生扰动,形成不规则的胞格结构。斜爆轰波阵面产 生的横波呈现上游单向传播与下游双向传播同时并存的现象,对斜爆轰的稳定性产生了影响。     

Transverse mass distributions of protons produced in heavy-ion collisions at high energies

The transverse mass distributions of protons produced in Au-Au collisions at 8 A GeV and Pb-Pb collisions at 158 A GeV are calculated by using the Monte Carlo method in the framework of the multisource ideal gas model.It is found that our calculated results are in agreement with the experimental data in nucleus nucleus collisions at high energies.     

Subsonic rarefied gas flow over a rack of flat transverse plates

Parameters of a rarefied gas flow through a rack of flat plates aligned across the flow are studied by means of the joint numerical solution of the Boltzmann and Navier-Stokes equations. A subsonic flow regime is considered. An analytic solution to asymmetrical bending problem of diaphragm coupling

Because rigidity of either hub or rim of diaphragm coupling is much greater than that of the disk, and asymmetrical bending is under the condition of high speed revolution, an assumption is made that each circle in the middle plane before deforma- tion keeps its radius unchanged after deformation, but the plane on which the circle lies has a varying deflecting angle. Based on this assumption, and according to the principle of energy variation, the corresponding Euler＇s equation can be obtained, which has the primary integral. By neglecting some subsidiary factors, an analytic solution is obtained. Applying these formulas to a hyperbolic model of diaphragm, the results show that the octahedral shear stress varies less along either radial or thickness direction, but fluctuates greatly and periodically along circumferential direction. Thus asymmetrical bending significantly affects the material＇s fatigue.     

Investigation of Limiting Diaphragms by the Diffraction Orders of Radiation of Various Spectral Lines

Limiting diaphragms of a micrometer crosssection have been investigated under their illumination by monochromatic radiation of various wavelengths. The main analytical expressions relating the diaphragm radius to the diffraction orders of various spectral lines have been found. A new method of measurement having a higher accuracy compared to the known ones is proposed.

Some considerations on the design of a high-power N2 laser

The design of a high-power transverse discharge N₂ laser is reported. TThe overall maximum efficiency of the laser is 0.51%— thought to be the second highest value reported so far. Details of the pressurized and free-running type spark gap switch and certain parametric studies are also given.
